About this vintage design furniture
Rare Estelle and Erwin Laverne 1957 "Champagne" dining room chair for Formes Nouvelles Laverne International USA. Made of green molded Plexiglas on a polished aluminum base with a white leather cushion, the chair swivels comfortably. Inspired by Saarinen's "Tulip" chair, the Champagne is part of Laverne's "Invisible Group". The slender pedestal base and transparent shell give the design a visual lightness and timeless sophistication.
