Vintage brushed metal eyeball lamp, 1970s
About this vintage design furniture
Vintage mid-century Eyeball table lamp with adjustable "eyeball" shade, circa 1960s - 70s. Like other classic designs from the same period, this piece features a stem on a circular base, with a multi-directional, adjustable eyeball, which has a swivel mechanism at the base of the brushed metal shade, allowing the light to be oriented in different positions or directions (see photos.) In addition, the light has a horizontal bar, which allows it to be adjusted to different heights, by sliding up or down (see photos.) The piece has its original cord and on the brushed metal base, its original "onoff" switch (see photos.) The lamp is in good original vintage condition, with some slight signs of age and marks of previous use commensurate with time, as well as a nice patina of time, on the stem, shade, base and bar (see photos), but nothing that affects its incredibly cool look or functionality. It has only been gently dusted and cleaned, in keeping with the original patina. The piece works with its original European plug up to 250V and its B22 bayonet bulb (not included.)
