About this vintage design furniture
A beautiful coffee table designed by Professor Lutjens, manufactured by De Boer Gouda in the Netherlands circa 1950.This eye-catching piece is made of dark stained birch plywood in a fantastic warm brown color. It features a rectangular top, tapered legs with round wooden support bars, and a nicely curved magazine shelf with round perforations on the upward curved sides. The combination gives this piece a unique style that will add great appeal to your decor. It is in very good, vintage condition with light wear from age and use, and retains a nice patina.

About the designer
Willem LUTJENS
Willem Lutjens was a Dutch designer, born on January 24, 1894 in Amsterdam and died on January 9, 1959 in Wassenaar. He studied architecture at Delft Polytechnic before turning to design. He worked for several design companies, including Metz & Co, where he created fabrics and wallpapers.
