Vintage Danish slate and mahogany coffee table by Svend Langkilde 1970Large and heavy mid-century modern Danish coffee table designed by Danish architect Svend Langkilde and manufactured by his own company Langkilde Møbler in Denmark.Rectangular top with seven beautiful inlaid slate tiles. Solid mahogany frame and legs.very sturdy and heavy table. The earth-toned slate tiles have a very nice and smooth surface, and are heat and water resistant.Good original vintage condition, with only minor scratches on the wood.

About the designer
Svend LANGKILDE
Svend Langkilde was a Danish designer who was born in 1923 and died in 2012. He studied at the Copenhagen School of Design, graduating in 1945. He then worked for the famous Danish design firm Georg Jensen, where he developed skills in jewelry and silverware design.
