About this vintage design furniture
Pair of modular candlesticks in chromed metal model " Combi-leuchter " , edited by the German firm BMF in the 1970s. Candleholders that can be stacked and modulated as desired. At the beginning of the 70s, the Bayerische Metallwarenfabrik (BMF) decides to compete with Nagel by releasing its own modular tripod candleholders. About the designer
Erwin NAGEL
Erwin Nagel (1889-1948) was a German industrial designer who marked his era with his innovative work in the field of typewriters. He began his career in the 1910s as a designer for the Olympia company, where he worked on portable typewriters. It was here that he developed his three-dimensional design technique, which gave rise to many remarkable models.
