About this vintage design furniture
This pair of armchairs was designed by Sigvard Bernadotte for the Danish manufacturer France & Søn during the 1960s. The geometric frame of the armchairs is made of chrome-plated metal. The seat and the backrest are upholstered with black leather. The armrests are made of solid teak wood. The chairs are characterized by a modernist line and a timeless proportion. This set is in original vintage condition. Scrapes and scratches. The seat is 46 cm high.

Sivgard BERNADOTTE
Sigvard Bernadotte, born January 24, 1907 in Stockholm and died February 4, 2002 in Küssnacht am Rigi, Switzerland, was a Swedish industrial designer. He was also Prince of Sweden, son of Prince Wilhelm of Sweden and the Russian Grand Duchess Maria Pavlovna of Russia.
