Designed by the famous Czech designer Robert Slezak. Manufactured by Slezak Factories, a unique Czech furniture brand specializing in chrome-plated and bent metal furniture. It has been restored and reupholstered by our professional team in Czechoslovakia according to the original process. The chrome parts have been professionally cleaned and restored. The elements of this style are neutral colors and occasionally bright primary colors. Bauhaus designers avoided fussy and pretentious elements, instead seeking clean, modern lines. Learn more about the manufacturer: A trained locksmith from Bystřice pod Hostýnem, in 1908 he founded a small locksmith shop in his hometown for common locksmith products, furniture and building accessories, the so-called Slezák factory. The workshop expanded rapidly, production was first extended to popular brass fittings, and a new technology of galvanic plating was introduced in the new premises. In 1911, he was one of the first manufacturers to offer galvanic coating of copper, nickel and chrome on the surface of products. From 1913, the production of metal chairs and brass furniture began, including beds, tables and chairs in his own designs in a combination of metal and wood. The original Slezák factories became part of the Kovona company after 1948, and since 1992 it has been called Kovonax.
