Chromium-plated vintage sofa bed by Kovona, Czechoslovakia 1950

This functionalist mid-century tubular sofa with sliding storage space was originally produced by the Mucke-Melder company in the 1930s. After World War II, production of this type of sofa was taken over by the nationalized Kovona company, where this sofa was manufactured in the 1950s.
