About this vintage design furniture
This is a set of two "Globe" floor lamps designed by Frank Ligtelijn for Raak Amsterdam in the 1960's. The chrome plated stand can be adjusted in height and the globes are also adjustable, see pictures. The smoked glass is in perfect vintage condition while the chrome shows normal signs of use.

Frank LIGTELIJN
Frank Ligtelijn (1943-2017) was a Dutch industrial designer known for his work in office equipment and consumer electronics. He studied at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in The Hague before working for Philips Design from 1967.
