About this vintage design furniture

This oak sideboard from MTP furniture set was designed in the 1960s by Marian Grabiński for Ikea. The furniture was produced in Poland by Jarocińska Fabryka Mebli for the Polish market. In the 1960s, Ikea moved some of its production to Polish factories that produced very high-quality furniture, but the cost of its production was much lower than in Sweden or other Western European countries. Part of the production was intended for the Polish market. They were very exclusive furniture and available only to a narrow, wealthy customers in Poland. The furniture has been professionally and carefully restored by removing old coatings, staining and finishing with varnish.
