About this vintage design furniture

A fantastic, extra large system cabinet designed by Cees Braakman and manufactured by Pastoe in the Netherlands around 1960. The piece has six white wooden back panels to which the several shelves and drawer units hang. The minimalist and modern style of the piece is iconic for Braakman’s famous “Japanese series”. The wooden shelves are connected with black metal, thin arms. The lower row has plenty of storage capacity with white laminated sliding doors revealing many larger and smaller shelves A truly eye-catching piece of Dutch mid-century design that will definitely draw the attention in any decor It remains in very good, vintage condition with minor wear consistent with age and use, preserving a beautiful patina.
