About this vintage design furniture
Mid-century set of 8 chairs, with a solid teak frame. John Herbert designed these chairs in the ’60s for A Younger. Organic and curved backrest in solid teak with a beautiful teak grain. The chairs have been sanded and polished and finished in Danish oil. Original upholstery with springs, some of the seat pads are faded but all in clean and good conditions. Dimensions: Length: 46cm Depth: 44cm BH80 - SH44cm Condition report: Materials: Beautifully crafted from teak. Wood Finish: Professional restoration to the top. All wood sanded and re-polish with an oiled finish. Construction: Joints are sturdy and solid. All checked and ready to go. About the designer
John HERBERT
John Herbert was a British industrial designer, born in 1929 and died in 2007. He studied at the Royal College of Art in London in the 1950s and began his career working for the English furniture manufacturer Ercol.
