About this vintage design furniture
Design table lamp Tropic (model: D-2046.20) designed by Frank Ligtelijn and the Raak design team for Raak in 1972. A round glass globe, floating and rotatable in its own chrome tropic. This Raak table lamp provides direct lighting and indirect lighting, writing light and mood light. Material: glass and chrome-plated iron. Dimensions: h x w x d 58 x 40 x 25 cm. The condition of this Raak table lamp is excellent and the wiring has been checked by an electrician. Source: Raak catalogue 9 (1972), page 279.

About the designer
Frank LIGTELIJN
Frank Ligtelijn (1943-2017) was a Dutch industrial designer known for his work in office equipment and consumer electronics. He studied at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in The Hague before working for Philips Design from 1967.
