Set of 4 vintage chairs model 343 by Knud Færch for Slagelse Møbelværk, Denmark 1950s

Set of four rosewood dining chairs designed by Knud Færch in the 1950s, produced by Slagelse Møbelfabrik in Denmark. Model 343. The chairs is reupholstered with black artificial leather. Two of the chairs have some repairs at the frame which has been remedied by a Danish professional carpenter. I have illustrated in the images some age-related wear and tear and overall they’re in very good vintage condition. The chairs are beautifully made with stunning details where the backrests connect to the supports. The grain of the wood is particularly highlighted on the backrests and the legs. Seat height 45cm. This set would make an impressive addition to any modern dining environment, an iconic chair by one of the best Danish designers from the modern era.
