About this vintage design furniture
Scandinavian stool by Poul Hundevad from the 1950's. Made in Denmark from an old model. Model ph43 "guldhøjstole" in solid oak and black leather. Nice condition, the wood has been restored and the leather replaced. Superb workmanship, this vintage piece is a classic of Danish design, very well referenced in the history of design. The vintage leather will be provided with it. The label on the back mentions "Early Bronze Age folding table about 1300 BC found in a burial temple near vamdrup, copy made from the oldest surviving piece of furniture in Scandinavia. Size folded: 50 X 48 X 18 cm.

Poul Hundevad was a Danish designer born on April 21, 1917 in Randers and died on April 2, 2011 in Aarhus. He is best known for his teak furniture designs of the 1950s and 1960s.
