About this vintage design furniture
Charming Midcentury leather elephant designed by Dimitri Omersa for Abercrombie and Fitch. This piece was part of the Africa series manufactured in the 1960s. Features handstitched aged leather with tail, ears, tusks and metal eyes. Originally intended to be used as an ottoman or footstool that adds character to any space. Beautiful vintage condition, the seem at the back looks like it has been repared some time before, in general good looking and very charming piece .

Dimitri OMERSA
Dimitri Omersa was a Serbian-born British designer who was born in Belgrade in 1914 and died in Banbury, England, in 1993. He is best known for creating Omersa's famous leather animals, such as rhinos, hippos and elephants.
