Eames lounge chair & ottoman by Herman Miller dating back from 1957, A truly rare 1st edition. The lounge chair features a beautiful rosewood veneer. Important features for the 1st edition are rubber mounts, 3 screws under the armrest, 5-blades of veneer (no 7 blades), massive aluminium backrest and feet and also the veneer inside is made with rosewood. The leather is in amazing original condition. An overall iconic collector’s item with rich history and charismatic patina. The Eames lounge chair was a fresh, subversive new take on a classic club chair and a culmination of experimentation by its inventive creators Charles & Ray Eames. Some define it as their signature design that reshaped the design world.
