Vintage extendible dining table by Cor Alons for De Boer Gouda, Netherlands 1950s

A wonderful dining table, designed by Cor Alons and manufactured by De Boer Gouda in the Netherlands around 1950. This is a highly recognizable piece of Dutch design. The bent plywooden legs and rounded finish of the top is typical for the pieces by Alons. Crafted with a fine eye for detail. The piece has beautiful connections in the corners of the lower part of the top. It can be extended from 70 cm to 90 cm in width, making it a very versatile piece for many different decors and situations. It remains in good vintage condition with minor wear consistent with age and use and some user marks to the top, preserving a beautiful patina
