Italian mid-century mirrored bi-fold screen by Maurizio Mariani and Giusto Puri Purini for Vivai Del Sud
About this vintage design furniture
This statement piece is part of Maurizio Mariani and Giusto Puri Purini’s ’Palm Beach Regency’ collection for the house of Vivai Del Sud. The house of Vivai del Sud production presented a whole series of furnishings and accessories inspired by palm groves. They used various materials, including bamboo, for such pieces as this. This bi-fold screen has a twin mirror plate with a bamboo frame and an inlaid palm motif. The wooden back is also bamboo and has been lacquered. In the true spirit of Vivai Del Sud, the use of 3D techniques has created an external atmosphere of a tropical oasis, emphasised by the palm trees. A fantastic addition to a mid-century interior as well as bringing a sense of Hollywood Regency to any setting.
