Vintage brass dining set, France 1970

Set of 4 vintage faux bamboo brass dining room chairs and table made in France in the 1970s. This mid-century dining room chair and table set is decorated with quality gilded brass faux bamboo metal frames. Additional naturalistic details such as stems and bows, arches on the corners keep the design soft and elegant. These chairs and table are generously sized and make a practical addition to traditional, modernist, Hollywood Regency, 70's retro or contemporary interiors. The quality gold brass metal frame has substantial weight. Suspended from the center of the frame, the original smoked glass appears to float, adding lightness. The glass top is removable and in very good condition, with no chips or damage. Structurally, the brass frame is stable and has a clear, old original patina that adds character. Each leg has the original metal caps on the end to protect the floor. The chairs are sturdy, reliable and extremely comfortable. The upholstery of the chairs has been replaced in a qualitative way.
