About this vintage design furniture
This set of five chairs, in Neo-Rustic Style, were produced in Portugal during the 1940s. "The dominant taste in Portuguese furniture, during the late 1940s and early 1950s, was part of a movement where a great deal of handwork was still present which reflected a neo-rustic or historical taste already out dated in Europe. This furniture, used both in public and private spaces, was also used in interiors representing the official taste and seeking for 'a traditional style of the regions'."Each chair has the back in chestnut wood and the base in eucalyptus wood. In original and good vintage condition.
