About this vintage design furniture
Rare and Chic Hand painted Faïence Lamp in Garnet color, made in the XXth century, by Louis Drimmer. A lighting manufacturer since 1945, he founded his company in Paris, shortly before the Second World War. He specialized in the manufacture of whole lamps at the beginning of the 70's and built his legend by creating lampshades and lamp bases in ceramic, hand painted, very avant-garde. The Drimmer company will acquire a worldwide fame by calling upon young artists or designers like Philippe Starck. It will not resist the crisis in 2011. This Design lighting is topped with a beautiful removable lampshade in Light Beige, with a very original oval shape. This last one is embellished on its high and low extremities of a Fine Red Garnet edging. The body of this Elegant Object is formed of a Curved silhouette, slightly Narrowed towards its neck and being Thinned of profile, thus bringing a quite particular Cachet to him. This Clay foot is dressed in a Deep Varnished Garnet Red shade, whose intensity of its nuance will be appreciated, notably due to the presence of supple lines. This Light successfully combines a lampshade with singular lines and a design base, giving it a harmonious and prestigious look. Period: XXth. Excellent condition. Electrification revised and operational. Ref : 898 S
