Vintage walnut cabinet by J. Leleu, 1940s

Charming Walnut Cabinet, reminiscent of the creations of Jules Leleu (1883-1961), a famous French craftsman, known for his simplified designs, as well as for his Marquetry and Mother of Pearl inlays. With a Mirror on the top, which will highlight your art objects or reflect the light of a lamp, this piece of furniture opens with four Walnut veneer doors, called "déployé". Each one is embellished with Marquetry in Mahogany and Lemon tree, representing delicate birds installed on their branch. Beautiful mother-of-pearl inlays decorate their plumage and embellish the Artist's work. This furniture of very beautiful Quality also includes two Drawers in Walnut, is provided with 6 square scalloped knobs in Brass. A quarter round in Walnut, frames its openings. The Surrounding part in recess also allows to emphasize its Base of falling form, furnished with Volutes and Feet in hoof.
