About this vintage design furniture
Four Eames ea116 armchairs manufactured by vitra in the 90s. This essential piece of 20th century design was conceived in 1958 by Charles and Ray Eames, husband and wife, American designers of genius. The project was to design a light and comfortable armchair made of leather or canvas stretched over an aluminium frame, an innovative material for the time. This chair was initially published by Herman Miller, and now by vitra. The present armchairs have a swivel base, a high back and are upholstered in red hopsack fabric. Some small wear marks, due to a moderate use during 25 years (see pictures).
