About this vintage design furniture
Description: This delightful sideboard was designed and manufactured by Mcintosh of Kirkcaldy in the mid-twentieth century. McIntosh was known on the vintage market for their mid-century style furniture, particularly for cabinetry and sideboards. Founded in 1869 by Alexander Henry (A.H) McIntosh (1835-1919) in Kirkcaldy, Fife. Originally an unappealing dresser we have re-purposed the piece by painting it in charcoal black chalk paint retaining the teen cupboard and doors offering a striking contrast. Mounted on 'hairpin' steel legs to create a mixture of both retro and contemporary design. The piece has a beautiful grain, warm tones and rich colours throughout. Item SKU: Condition: We have spray painted this piece in charcoal black chalk paint, the cupboard door and drawers have been stripped creating a striking contrast the entire piece has been finished in a matt lacquer for a durable and lasting finish. We try to capture the condition of our items in our photographs as best as possible. Prior to dispatch All items are carefully cleaned and re-coated with danish oil to ensure your item is looking its best when delivered. This item is in good condition with no faults.
