About this vintage design furniture
This is the first chair in history to be injection moulded using a single mould. Made of polycarbonate and produced by Kartell, Noviglio, Milan, it is stamped "Kartell® 4867" on the underside of the seat. Designer: Joe Colombo. Made in Italy". In production since 1965, it has several design features: it can be stacked up to 3 complete pieces, and the leg can be separated into 2 parts to allow for more stacking. The central hole has a functional justification to provide a comfortable grip for moving the chair, allowing air circulation and water drainage for outdoor use. This model has been considered for many years as a design icon of the 60's and can be found in the permanent exhibitions of prestigious museums, such as the MoMa in New York or the Beaubourg center in Paris. 8 pieces in stock.
