Vintage lacquer and brass sideboard by Jansen, 1970

Rare and exceptional lacquered and brass chest of drawers from the House of Jansen dating from the 1970s. This lacquered series with a bronze mordant finish was produced to order only. The proportions, the design, the base, the eight cascading drawers, the brass frame, all details are superb, and of a rare quality of finish. It is in a perfect state of conservation. This piece was commissioned for the dressing room of an architect's house in the heights of Saint-Raphael in the south of France. There were two large dressers in the dressing room, this one being the less wide measuring 190 cms, the second, also available, measuring 285 cms wide.
