Vintage brass lacquered sideboard by Jansen 1970s

Rare and exceptional brass and lacquered chest of drawers from Jansen dating from the 1970s. This lacquered series with a bronze-gold finish was produced to order only. The proportions, the design, the base, the twelve cascading drawers, the brass frame, all details are superb, and of a rare quality of finish. It is in a perfect state of conservation. This piece was commissioned for the dressing room of an architect's house in the heights of Saint-Raphaël in the south of France. There were two large chests of drawers in the dressing room, this one being the larger one measuring 285 cms wide, the second one, also available, measuring 189 cms wide.
