About this vintage design furniture
Desk by the French designer Robert Charroy published by Mobilor in the mid-1950s (1955-1956). This series of furniture was chosen for the equipment of the university residence of the city of Antony. This desk in oak and laminated top is characterized by its rounded and harmonious lines. Both the 2-drawer pedestal and the top have subtle curves. The drawers are bevelled. The space between the top and the pedestal provides interesting storage space. The shape of the base, in black tube, adds to the restless look of this desk. The desk is reminiscent of the Bauhaus style. There are visible restorations on the outside (bottom right) and on the back of the pedestal (bottom). The desk was used by an architect, so the top shows signs of use.
