An art deco armchair by Francis Jourdain. France, circa 1930s. Stained beech wood, seat in braided rope, formerly lacquered red. Minimalist design. In excellent condition. Dimensions : height 81 cm, seat height 37 cm, depth 63, width 60 cm.

Francis Jourdain was a French designer born in Bordeaux on November 2, 1876, and died in Paris on August 31, 1958. He was a member of a family of renowned artists, his father being the famous painter and writer Jules-Émile Jourdain.
