About this vintage design furniture
Chair designed by René Herbst in 1930 for Tecta (German publisher of the Bauhaus designers) 80s edition. Perfect condition. This model is no longer sold, so it is rare and unique. Unique open structure and very comfortable tilt mechanism in tubular metal-plated chrome. Seat and backrest are made of black bungee cords (elastic bands). This combination of materials has become emblematic for Herbst's work. When Le Corbusier and Jean Puiforcat founded the Union des Artistes Modernes (UAM) in 1930, Herbst was one of the first members along with Robert Mallet-Stevens. H. 57 - 100cm, W.120cm, B.58cm
