About this vintage design furniture
Original poster by Keith Haring from 1989: Ignorance Fears Silent Death On behalf of the New York-based AIDS activist group, AIDS Coalition to Unleash Power (ACT UP), Keith Haring designed and produced this poster in 1989. Haring's imagery refers to the "three wise monkeys" who "see no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil. With this illustration, Haring refers to the public's ignorance about AIDS and calls for a critical awareness of the "facts". A large poster by Haring in his original style of "animated" figures in brightly coloured black outlines. A key historical Haring collector's item in Whitney's permanent collection and in Jürgen and Osten's Raisonne of Haring catalogue. Offset lithograph, purchased in 1992, of the exhibition "Read my lips: the AIDS controversy in New York", Tramway, Glasgow, Scotland Overall, the condition of the vintage is good, with only minor signs of handling, some wear on the edges and corners (with pinholes) and two tears on the edge (reflected in the price). Features Printed signature and date; rare in relatively good condition. Dimensions: 61 × 109 cm (24 x 43 inches)
