About this vintage design furniture
Norwegian Oddvin Rykken Balance beech chair from the 1970's, with flexible, actively balanced backrest and bentwood frame. The piece has been fully checked, cleaned and upholstered in light blue upholstery fabric Divina MD 0813, by Kvadrat. The frame is made of curved beech wood, stained and varnished, with a well-preserved patina. Brand present, the chair is numbered: S20324. Seat height : H 42 cm

About the designer
Oddvin RYKKEN
Oddvin Rykken (1928-2013) was a Norwegian industrial designer known for his innovative, minimalist work in the 60s and 70s. He studied carpentry and design at the Oslo School of Arts and Crafts, then worked for various design companies in Norway.
