About this vintage design furniture
Vintage Dutch large lounge chair in (imitation) wicker, chromed metal and black leather by Gerard van den Berg for Rohé (1980, Noordwolde - the Netherlands). Excellent condition. Black leather upholstery is in good condition, with head pillow intact; all leather with nice patina. The black ‘wicker’ seating (imitation wicker, with unique and excellent quality and sustainability) and chromed metal frame are as good as new. Comfortable seat height: approx. 35cm.

Gerard VAN DER BERG
Gerrit (Gerard) Van Der Berg (1947-2011) was a Dutch designer known for his modern, functional furniture creations. He studied at the Rotterdam Academy of Fine Arts and began his career as an industrial designer at Gispen, a Dutch furniture company.
