"Scal" bed in mahogany and sheet steel of Jean PROUVE from the 50s. From the city of Cansado in Mauritania. Frame in folded sheet steel. Headboard and bed legs in veener mahogany. In good vintage condition some traces of wear.

About the designer
Jean PROUVE
1901 - 1984Jean Prouvé (1901-1984) was a French designer and builder. Born in Nancy, he began working in his father's iron workshop before studying art and design at the École de Nancy. In the 1920s, he began designing metal furniture and founded his own company, Ateliers Jean Prouvé, in 1923.
