About this vintage design furniture
Set of 4 chair were designed by Marcel Breuer for Thonet in 1929, Austria. Model No: S64 chairs are original (marked under the seating). These Thonet chairs are made of chrome-plated tubular steel, dark brown and natural bentwood and a rattan seating finish. Rare in this woodcolor combination. S 64 are true modernist classics. The Minimalist and functional model designed by Marcel Breuer in 1929 is a case study of his work with bended steel started as he still was student at the Bauhaus in Weimar. The cantilever chair was produced from 1930 by Thonet and is one of the best-seller of the manufacturer, it furnishes many modern interiors, restaurants, offices as well as institutions.
