About this vintage design furniture
Aldo van den Nieuwelaar (1944-2010) "early 1968 edition" cirkellamp. A true icon and one of the most famous examples of Dutch minimalist design, designed in 1968 by Aldo van den Nieuwelaar. It consists of a steel case in which a circular neon light is mounted. It is a table lamp, but it can also be mounted on the wall. This piece is part of the permanent collection of several of the world's largest museums, such as the MoMa in New York and the Stedelijk in Amsterdam.

Aldo VAN DEN NIEUWELAAR
Wim Van den Nieuwelaar was a Dutch designer, born on February 28, 1936 in Haarlem and died on February 23, 2019. He studied at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in The Hague and began his design career in the 1960s.
