About this vintage design furniture
This round coffee table was designed by Peter Hvidt & Orla Mølgaard-Nielsen and was produced by France & Søn in the 1950s in Denmark. The table is made of solid teak and has a woven rattan top that is supported by brass rods. The shelf can be used to store newspapers and magazines. Superb teak in organic form, high quality Danish design. Model: FD 515. Original mark on the table top. Legs can be unscrewed.

About the designer
Peter HVIDT & Orla MOLGAARD NIELSEN
Hvidt & Mølgaard Nielsen is a mid-20th-century Danish design duo consisting of Peter Hvidt and Orla Mølgaard Nielsen. Peter Hvidt was born in Copenhagen in 1916 and studied at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts before working as a designer for various companies. Orla Mølgaard Nielsen was born in Copenhagen in 1907 and also studied at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts, before working as an architect and designer.
