About this vintage design furniture

A 1970s Mid-century Danish UFO style pendant ceiling light ’Optima’ designed by Hans Due for Fog & Morup. Launched in 1972 the ‘Optima’ series has a definite ‘Space Age’ feel with its sleek futuristic design, looking almost impossibly thin from a side profile. It is in white with a red centre diffuser, in super original condition with only the slightest of marks visible. It has been cleaned, rewired and fitted with an LED crown silver bulb.

About the designer

Hans DUE

Hans Due was a Danish designer who was born in 1945 and died in 2011. He studied at the Copenhagen School of Arts and Crafts before working for several Danish design companies, including Bo Bedre, Rosendahl and Hübsch.
