About this vintage design furniture
A beautifully designed & crafted teak sideboard designed by John Herbert for Younger circa 1960s70s. Younger were renowned for there high quality workmanship and mainly retailed through Heals. Featuring solid teak handles, legs and edging drawer fronts. Younger sideboards were produced on a smaller scale and renown for their superior quality and design. Lots of storage with two large cupboards, one with shelf and four good sized drawers, the top one having cutlery dividers included. This piece has been fully stripped of all its old tired finish, cleaned and finally given three coats of a quality wax oil bringing it back to it lovely original condition. It is free from damaged veneers and has no filler. Any questions please do not hesitate to ask.

About the designer
John HERBERT
John Herbert was a British industrial designer, born in 1929 and died in 2007. He studied at the Royal College of Art in London in the 1950s and began his career working for the English furniture manufacturer Ercol.
