Designer: Danish Design Manufacturer: Hundevad & Co Country: Denmark Date: 1960s Material: Rosewood Maximum Dimensions: Width 70cm, Depth 43cm and Height 76cm Condition: Very Good but with small signs of wear, in the form of some scuffing and knocks to the corners of the drawers Description: A stylish Danish 1960s Rosewood chest of drawers, manufactured by Hundevad & Co. The chest is finished in Rosewood, with a rich and detailed grain throughout. The piece features four opening drawers, all with moulded and inset drawer pulls, a nice added design detail. The chest is then raised upon four turned and tapering Beech wood legs. The Hundevad & Co manufacturers stamps can also be found to the rear of the piece. Purchased in Denmark, this design classic is an original piece of Mid Century furniture.

About the designer
Aage HUNDEVAD
Aage Hundevad (1917-2011) was a Danish designer renowned for his high-quality teak furniture. He was born in Vejle, Denmark, and studied at the Copenhagen School of Architecture. During the Second World War, he worked as a carpenter and joiner for the Danish resistance.
