About this vintage design furniture

Umbrella rack created by Sergio Asti in the 60s, for Kartell. It is a very functional object, which can also be used as a basket. Its cylindrical and refined shape brings an elegant touch of design to an interior. It is made of thick and resistant plastic, the pocket holder is made of aluminium. It is stamped in the mass. Despite some traces of use, it is in good condition. Reference : 104279

Sergio Asti was an Italian designer born in Milan in 1926 and died in 2021. He studied at Milan Polytechnic and began his career in the 1950s working for industrial design companies including Kartell and Cassina.
