Lovely pair of vintage 60's-80's teapot and milk jug, in pearly black glazed stoneware with light silver highlights, by Grès Village, a French craftsman. Relatively uncommon in this shade. Relatively large teapot, good capacity, all round with attractive lid, large handle and short spout, 16-17cm height max with lid, 12-13cm height without, approx. 16cm diameter max, 21cm total length spout+handle. Small milk jug, more frothy glaze, studded with small bubbles. 11-12cm high, 12cm max. width with handle, 9cm max. diameter. No cracks or chips, but the teapot has a number of small scratches and abrasions that are relatively visible but not really annoying, as does the pot, but more discreetly. Teapot approx. 1kg + milk jug 500gr.
