Product description
Superb vintage 2-seater sofa, model Kali, designed by Michel Ducaroy for Ligne Roset. Less well known than the legendary Togo by the same designer, the Kali stands out for its compact appearance, low, enveloping seat and resolutely Seventies style. A rare piece, with a bold design and curved lines that immediately evoke the world of Ducaroy.
This model is upholstered in white imitation leather, is in good overall condition for its age, and comfort is at a premium, thanks to generous foam and a supple structure with no rigid backbone. Perfect for a vintage interior or a designer touch in a contemporary living room.
The Kali was designed in the late '70s, in the wake of the Togo's success. An amusing anecdote: Michel Ducaroy is said to have designed this seat after observing the shape of a crushed toothpaste tube - an unusual inspiration he had already evoked for the Togo. This more compact sofa was designed for small urban spaces, without sacrificing visual impact or comfort.
We look forward to hearing from you.
Some light rubbing.
