A unique Danish design piece, this 1960's secretaire by Dyrlund. The secretaire opens easily to reveal a writing surface with small storage cabinets and compartments. Below the writing surface are further storage compartments. At the bottom of the cabinet there are 4 spacious drawers across the width of the desk. The desk has been oiled and is in clean condition with very light signs of use. However, the item is extremely heavy, but what a vintage eye-catcher! Dyrlund originated in Denmark and produced striking wooden tables and cabinets in the 1960s. At Dyrlund, craftsmanship was key. The furniture was both aesthetic and functional. The designs are solid, heavy and organic in form and prove timeless!
