Table lamp by Robert Pfeffer - Art Nouveau
France - circa 1910-1920
Signed "Pfeffer" on the base
Superb sculptural lamp in polychrome calamine or painted metal.
A standing female allegorical figure stands on a pedestal with a design and floral decorations iconic of the Art Nouveau period.
It is topped by a magnificent rococo lampshade adorned with 4 glass drops.
Robert Pfeffer [1885-1954] was a member of Vienna's Künstlerhaus from 1938. Among other sculptures, he created the monument to Franz Schubert in Puchberg am Schneeberg, Austria.
