Product description
This Jack Light is the original stackable, multi-functional lamp and stool designed by renowned British designer Tom Dixon for Eurolounge in 1997. An iconic piece of 1990s design, it represents one of Dixon's earliest and most influential experiments with molded plastic.
Made from durable blue polyethylene, the Jack Light functions not only as a freestanding sculptural lamp, but also as a seat, side table, or stackable design object. Its playful and bold form recalls 1960s pop furniture, with a futuristic twist that has become a signature of Dixon’s early work.
Originally intended purely as an illuminating table lamp, its strength and versatility were discovered during the design process—resulting in a truly multi-purpose object. It was the first product launched by Eurolounge, a platform Dixon created to explore the potential of plastic in modern design.
A standout moment in the Jack Light's history includes a German nightclub installation that featured seventy phosphorescent Jack lamps, cementing its place in contemporary design culture. It also received the Millennium Mark Award for Great British Design in 1997.
