These chairs were originally designed in 1936 by Kaare Klint for the Grundtvig Church in Copenhagen and produced by Fritz Hansen. Kaare Klint is recognized as one of the most influential Danish designers of the 20th century. He was an important role model and teacher for designers such as Poul Kjaerholm, Hans Wegner and Borge Mogensen.
