Bang (Michael)

3 results
He has created numerous glass pieces, from lamps and pendant lights to vases and jars. All are inspired by the Scandinavian style and the Sixties, with clean lines and curves. The Bowler lamp (1967) is one of his best-known pieces. Michael Bang was born in Denmark in 1942. He is the son of Jacob E. Bang, Holmegaard's artistic director in the first part of the 20th century. He worked as a designer for several workshops, including the Odense Glass Factory. He joined Homelgaard in the late 60s. Throughout his career, he has sought to go beyond the functional aspect of the pieces to offer a real experience.
