In 1970, Torsten Thorup co-founded the industrial design agency "Komplot Design" with his partner Bjørn Raben Christiansen. The duo worked together for over 30 years, developing products for companies such as Gubi, Hay, MoMa, Louis Poulsen and Fritz Hansen. Torsten Thorup's designs are often characterized by their simplicity, functionality and elegant, timeless aesthetic. He has won several awards for his designs, including the prestigious "Bo Bedre" Danish Design Award in 1989 and 1990. Thorup has also taught industrial design at the Royal Danish School of Fine Arts, and has been a board member of the Danish Design Foundation. Torsten Thorup has left a significant legacy in the world of industrial design, and his creations continue to be appreciated for their beauty and utility.
